Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Your Janome machine has been made with precision and care, and accordingly is guaranteed (subject to the provisions below) for household or domestic use only for one year (five years in the case of all electronic parts) from the date of original purchase against any defects in materials or workmanship used in or associated with the manufacture and assembly of the machine (Guarantee). This Guarantee covers the cost of parts and labour
arising from any of such defects.

The Guarantee applies only to the original owner and is not transferable in the event of the machine being sold or otherwise disposed of.

The Guarantee does not cover damage or wear and tear on expendable parts such as needles, belts, springs, light bulbs, bobbins, bobbin cases, needle threaders, thread cutters, overlock knives, overlocker loopers, looper covers and needle plates which normally require replacement from time to time. It does not cover damage caused by accidental damage, misuse, failure to properly maintain the machine, failure to follow Janome instructions for the use of the machine, negligence or any
alteration whatsoever in the form or content of the machine.

The Guarantee becomes null and void if any adjustment, part replacement or repair is carried out by any person other than an authorised Janome service agent, or the damage is caused by use of any non-genuine Janome accessories or parts.

Should a warranty repair be required under the terms of this Guarantee, the machine should be returned to the Janome retailer which you purchased this machine from or the Janome state office nearest to you.

The machine to be serviced under the Guarantee must be properly packaged, freight prepaid and insured. Janome does not accept any liability whatsoever for these charges.

It is essential that this card and the proof of purchase be
presented with your machine when a warranty repair is required or full charges will apply. To the extent permitted by law, Janome excludes all implied terms or warranties under any relevant legislation, and the Guarantee reflects the extent of Janomeʼs contractual liability.
