Sometimes a little more information is needed so here are some common points of interests for your reference.
We offer several options for delivery, from general to priority orders and are able to ship to all Australian addresses including P.O. Boxes for regional areas.
Eligible Free Nation-Wide Shipping
Many customers choose this option as a great way to save on already great value machines. We offer FREE shipping nation-wide on all purchases of machines and accessories from our website as well as in-store for orders over $400. Orders under the $400 minimum will be charged a flat fee of $11.00 for registered post. This charge is to contribute to the inevitable cost of packing and shipping your order. But why the minimum? Well, after a point we can afford to offer you free shipping. We aren’t going to charge you if we don’t have to! Customers please note that some items that are too large to be shipped via Australia Post, or are shipped direct to customer from the supplier via large freight [i.e. furniture] are not eligible for free shipping and incur a shipping charge calculated upon checkout.
Registered Post with Tracking
Registered post is our standard choice for postage, including tracking info. We send items in Registered Post for a flat fee of $11.00 on all items in a single order under $400. We provide you with your parcel’s individual consignment number and will reach customers between three to eight business days depending on where you are in Australia.
Finally, if customers seek that little extra bit of security when ordering online, we offer Freight Insurance, which has a charge from $16.50 and is calculated based upon the items in your cart. This service covers you for any damage that is incurred during the transport by our delivery service, i.e. Damages affecting an items operation and integrity, loss of items due to postal error, parcels mis-delivered or stolen. Freight Insurance is our recommended shipping option for high-value items. How is this option different from registered post? We ensure that the items we ship leave in the condition customers expect it to arrive in. Once in the hands of the courier, we are not responsible for the condition of its arrival, the courier is. If damages are incurred, we do not have any rights to claim damages through the courier, the customer does. This extra charge is to insure customers’ purchases so that we can replace an item should it arrive damaged and all avenues with the courier are not meeting the customers’ needs.
For express delivery, enquiries can be made to our Brisbane office via phone or email. Rates are calculated by weight and delivery location and can often take a little longer than next day delivery in some areas of Australia. As such, we encourage customers to request a quote comparison for delivery so we can help you determine the best option.
With competitive prices and international postage to most worldwide destinations, we encourage customers from all over the world to shop with us. Similar to our domestic services, international postage is calculated based on the weight of the order and destination in question. Please contact us for an individualised quote. While we take all possible precautions, international destinations often apply additional import or duty charges on articles. Please be aware that there may be additional costs relating to your order that we are unable to anticipate or assist with. All Janome and Elna machines purchased through Janome Sewing Centre come with a twelve-month mechanical and five-year electronic warranty, this is limited to Australia only and international orders are not covered.
Duration Of Shipping
With our warehouse based in Brisbane Queensland, most of our shipping times for major cities range anywhere between 2 to 4 business days, with outer-lying suburbs taking a little longer. Some areas can take up to 8 business days for delivery, depending on what services are available. We always arrange for the dispatch of your order within 3 business days of you placing it with us and provide all customers with tracking information the minute we print the label. If you need an item before a specific date, please don’t hesitate and call us for an estimate based on your order and location.
Janome Sewing Centre is one of Australia’s Largest Sewing Retailers in both Australia and New Zealand, however we remain a family business with a close-knit team who work as fast as possible to have your orders prepared and dispatched to you, operating out of our Brisbane office. Typical Processing Time for online orders is within 3 business days.
While we keep many machines and smaller items available on site for immediate dispatch, we utilise an external storage facility for some bulkier or infrequent products. A brief delay of two business days may be incurred before such items are dispatched. As such , processing orders can range from same-day dispatch to three day processing. Any item purchased with an extended processing period such as back-orders and pre-orders will prompt our team to contact customers with updated information as it arrives to us. Please ensure that your order details include both your contact phone number and email address for best communication.
Some products we offer are heavier than the maximum weight we can send through standard postal services. These include machines like the Janome Memory Craft 15000 or MB-7. For such items, we organise for them to be sent via a courier service such as TNT. While an extra day or so may be spent processing your order, one of our friendly team members will be in contact with you the whole way through.
We offer several makes and models of cabinetry on our website. Some products are available in both flat pack and pre-assembled, but delivery is limited in some areas. For specific information on a particular cabinet, please contact us via phone or email with your enquiry and we can organise your order personally.
