We have created this returns policy to explain the procedures for a return and to enable you to return products to us following appropriate circumstances.
This returns policy applies to customers of Janome Sewing Centre irrespective of your geographical location.
Both businesses and customers are protected by rights as explained by the ACCC. This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have and is a product of discretion by Janome Sewing Centre.
In order to take advantage of your rights under this returns policy, you must adhere to the following:
Returns Due to Faulty Or Damaged Goods
If you purchased a product that was damaged or faulty when you received it, we will replace the item with an undamaged one.
A replacement item will be forwarded to you at no cost to you, on receipt of the returned goods.
Returns Due to Incorrectly Supplied Goods
A refund or exchange of goods may be applicable if we provided you with a product that you didn’t order; provided you with the wrong order sold you something that does not match its description. If the item you have received was correct to the order but ordered incorrectly, you may post the item to following opening a return requests with us, and an exchange will be made upon receiving the item provided it is still in sell-able condition.
Returns Due to Change of Mind.
We are unable to refund or allow you to return products if you simply change your mind, make a wrong decision or if you do not want to have them anymore. We attempt to provide you with all the information you need on our website and in product information brochures to help you make an informed decision before you buy.
Returns for change of mind are up to the sole discretion of Janome Sewing Centre and may not be eligible for a full refund if no longer in original, sell-able packaging. Refunds for change of mind will incur a 10% restocking fee plus any shipping charges.
Returning Overseas Orders
If you have purchased a product from us and you live outside of Australia, the process for requesting a refund is the same as noted above; however, the cost of returning the goods to Australia including packaging and postage, will be your responsibility.
Cancelling an Order
Orders which are to be mailed out must be cancelled no more than 24 hours after placement in order to avoid paying the cost of the product by calling +61 (if outside Australia) 0733555522. As we pride ourselves on reducing the time between placement of an order and shipping of that order, any order cancelled after 24 hours will not be eligible for a full refund. Return Shipping will be deducted if your item has left the store.
Issuing A Refund
Refunds will only be provided if we have agreed to you returning the product and issued you with a Returns Request Form.
Where you have no other legal right to return a product and receive a refund or exchange, then you will nonetheless be entitled to return a product to us where:
- we receive the returned product within 30 days following the date of receipt of the product;
- the returned product is unused, in its original [unopened] packaging and otherwise in a condition enabling us to sell the product as new;
- you comply with the returns procedure set out below; and
- none of the exclusions set out below apply.

- A replacement item will be forwarded to you at no cost to you, on receipt of the returned goods.
- The goods must be returned in original condition however, if they have been damaged by you or damaged through you using them, we will not be able to accept this for a full refund.
Where payment has been made in full, your refund will be supplied either by reversal, cheque or direct deposit into your bank account.
