Whether you are looking to remove/reduce the natural colours of your fabric before applying a fabric dye or looking to remove a stubborn stain on white fabrics, then Rit’s Powder Dye Colour Remover is for you. Applied along with hot water, this Colour Remover is composed of a non-chlorine, reductive type of bleach that is gentle on clothing. Perfect for linen, silks, cottons, rayons, and wools.

How to use the Powder Dye Colour Remover:

  1. Fill a large stainless steel pot with enough water for the fabric to move freely. Place the pot on the stove and heat the water to just below boiling (100 °C).
  2. When water begins to simmer, add one packet of Color Remover. Mix well.
  3. Turn the temperature to a low simmer.
  4. Place the item(s) into the pot.
  5. Stir occasionally for 10 to 20 minutes.
  6. Once the desired colour is achieved, carefully remove the items from the pot and wash them in cold water (until the rinse water begins to run clear).
  7. Then wash the item(s) in warm water with a mild detergent, rinse and dry.
  8. Item is now ready.
