Why does pilling happen anyway? Knit and weave fabric is made of loose fibres, often used to make jumpers and jackets, and can frequently produce fuzzy lint balls known as pilling. You can also find them on older clothes of standard cotton or even on your corporate suit, under arms, inside legs or from where handbags rub against clothes. This is because fabric is made of woven strands of woven fibres. With movement, friction and age, these fibres loosen and bunch up on the surface of the fabric, clog your washing machine filter and make a dusty wardrobe. That’s just normal To remove these little lumps, we often turn to lint brushes or shavers to clean up their appearance.

How to use a Wool Comb

Remember – when you use any lint remover tool you are removing fibres that make the fabric that have just come loose! This means that over time more and more lint removal will make you items thinner. This is a normal factor of age and general wear and tear. We suggest being extra careful with older garments that may be more delicate in worn areas.
