Sewing on strung beads and pearls has always been a tedious task but the beading foot now goes some small way to alleviating this and to add pleasure to embellishing. Popular for bridal wear, evening wear, smart/casual or crafts, the beading foot set is a blessing. The Janome Wide Groove Beading Foot is used with beads 2.5 to 4 mm in diameter.

What sewing machine settings do I use for Beading?

 

  • Stitch: Simple zigzag
  • Thread tension: “Auto” or 3 – 5
  • Stitch length: 1.5
  • Stitch width: 2 – 3
  • SIZE OF BEADS: 
    * Narrow groove foot: Diameter of beads or pearls 2.5 – 4 mm.

Sewing Tip: Draw an outline on the material where the strings of beads or pearls will be attached.
 

 


 

The Janome 9mm Wide Groove Beading Foot will fit the following sewing machine models:

Janome: Skyline S5, Skyline S7, Skyline S9, MC8200, MC8900, MC9900, MC12000, MC14000, and MC15000

Elna: 680, 730, 760, 860, 900
