Yes! You can use any of the Premium Accessories’ range of feet on your Janome Sewing Machine while still maintaining the FULL JANOME (and ELNA) WARRANTY. As each foot in the Premium Accessories range is built to the exact specifications and quality standards set by Janome, you can rest assured that your machine (and your budget) will approve of the Premium range.

Tips for using the Border Guide Foot on a Janome Sewing Machine

Supplies Required:

  • Janome Sewing Machine
  • Border Guide Foot
  • Fabric
  • Sewing threads and bobbin
  • Fabric Marker / Chalk
  • Sewing Ruler

Instructions:

  1. With the marker /chalk, rule out where the first line of stitching will be sewn. Then rule the start and end lines.
  2. Align the center red mark on the Border Guide Foot with the first line and select your chosen stitch pattern. 
  3. When you have completed your row of stitching, lift the presser foot and move the previously sewn row in between the red guide lines on either side of the foot (depending on the direction of stitching). With the next pattern selected, stitch out the next row, using the previous row as a guide. 
  4. Repeat as necessary.

Additional Tip: Practice with scrap fabric initially to gauge the pattern combinations and colours that will suit your project. 

You are now ready to add amazing topstitching to your next project.
