The Premium Seam Ripper is the ideal tool for removing unwanted stitches quickly and easily. With an pointed tip and an ultra sharp cutter, this sewing tool (also known as a Quick Unpicker) makes it easy to get under the thread to cut and remove misplaced stitches. But the convenience does not stop there! The Premium Seam Ripper can be used to open buttonholes.

How to use the Premium Seam Ripper:

Unpicking a Seam

  1. Remove the Seam Ripper’s Cap
  2. With the pointed tip against the fabric, slide the tip under the desired stitch.
  3. Using a continous motion, push the seam ripper along the fabric until all of the desired stitches are cut.
  4. Using tweezers (or fingers) remove the cut thread.

Opening a Buttonhole

  1. Remove the Seam Ripper’s Cap
  2. Place a pin across the inside of the top and bottom of the buttonhole.
  3. Insert the tip of the Seam Ripper into the centre of the stitched buttonhole.
  4. Push the Seam Ripper to one of the ends of the buttonhole, using the pin as a stop guide.
  5. Turn the Seam Ripper around and push it to the other side, using the second pin as a guide.
  6. Use fine scissors (if needed) to remove any loose bits of fabric from the buttonhole.
