Introducing the New Janome Sewist Models

Sewist 709 | Sewist 721 | Sewist 725S | Sewist 740DC | Sewist 780DC 

This month has been a storm, with a number of machines making their debut going into the new financial year. Janome Australia is releasing these machines at some GREAT introductory prices! 

Last month we said goodbye to two of our more popular mechanical machines, the Sewist 509 & 521. With this new roll-out range, Sewists have upgraded to 3 mechanical machines of varying stitch count, all with adjustable foot pressure, and 1 computerised model!

In the past, Sewists were a staple for standard household craft, and were a favourite for beginners and students seeking a versatile mechanical machine lightweight enough to travel to and from lessons. This new series of Sewists from Janome encompasses several levels of capability allowing for a more choice among customers.

Sewist 709

Starting with the first tier of these new Sewists, we have the 709. With 8 Essential stitches and a 4-Step buttonhole, it has everything users need to sew most projects.

On the leftmost part of the machine is the presser foot pressure adjustment function, which takes the 709 beyond a basic straight/ZZ sewer and allows for sewing with a wider range of fabrics. Its non-jamming top loading bobbin holder means easy thread set-up. Now boasting an automatic needle threader, this entry level machine is available at even greater value than its predecessor.

Sewist 721

With the same design as its accompanying models, the Sewist 721 has all the ease of use as the 709, but with 21 stitches, branching into applique and blanket varieties for more crafting capability. Sew Patches with ease! Plus – the Sewist 721 includes a built in needle threader for quick and easy thread or needle changes.

Sewist 725S

Leading the mechanical Sewists is the 725S, with extra high presser foot lift and 25 stitches. That’s more than the crowd-favoured My Excel 18W, making this one of the most impressive new additions to any sewer’s collection!

Sewist 740DC

The Sewist 740DC is a Sewist computerised machine, bringing speed control, drop sew bobbin case and auto lock-stitch to your sewing.

Sewist 780DC

Last but not least the Sewist 780DC is Janome’s latest computerised machine, similar to Decor Craft models such as theDC6030 it is the largest sewist model, complete with automatic speed/sew function, needle raise button, auto-lock-stitch button and automatic thread cutter. 20 of its 80 built in stitches can be selected using direct keys on the machine front, along with stitch length and width. Its hinged left side opening allows for easy threading, so no more missing the take-up lever!
